Perform 4 Good is a charitable event held at Young Talent Expo, where young performers are given the opportunity to audition for Casting Directors, and Acting Agents in exchange for donating to our charity of choice, Acting For Others.

Our panel of Casting Directors, and Agents are on the lookout to meet fresh, new talent that they may not have met in more traditional auditions, and it’s a great opportunity for young performers to practise their audition skills in the room!

Young Performers should apply below, and can pre-register their details using this link and on October 25th at 10am a link will be sent out to ALL registered talent to pre-book your slot. To book your slot, a compulsory charitable donation is required of just £1. There will then be a GoFund Me Page we actively encourage young performers that give more to, if you are able!

ALL registered performers will get the booking link, and there is no guarantee so make sure you’ve set your alarm for October 25th at 10am!

Nikki Meadows is a Casting Director working across TV, film and commercials in the UK and US – specialising in feature length and multi episodic drama and drama documentary for television. She is a full member of the Casting Directors’ Guild, The Casting Directors Association and a voting member of BAFTA.

She cast the critically acclaimed BAFTA winning Suffragettes with Lucy Worsley (BBC1 – Best Specialist Factual BAFTA winner) and has numerous prime time broadcast credits for her work for BBC, ITV, CH5, Netflix and Sky including Lost Pirate Kingdom, The Winter Palace and Jesus Crown of Thorns which she is currently casting for seasons 2 and 3 following the success of season 1.

She continues to work as a mentor with NFTS with students casting their first year, digi and graduate films.
She has cast multiple profile brand and charity commercials and has been working with the NSPCC casting their hard hitting online and tv campaigns for the past 5 years.

She was nominated for 2 awards for Best Film & TV Drama for her work at the CDA Awards in 2020, for Best Short Film and Best Children’s Casting at the CDA Awards in 2022 and again for Best Short film with her Cannes selected short film KBJ in 2023.

She was named as Casting Director of the Year at Mandy’s 2021 Casting Director Awards.

He has cast over 40 films including ‘Shadow of The Vampire’ with Willem Dafoe and John Malkovich, ‘The Wedding Date’ with Deborah Messing and Amy Adams, ‘Blood Creek’ with Michael Fassbender and Henry Cavill, directed by Joel Schumacher and Trevor Nunn’s ‘Twelfth Night’ with Helena Bonham Carter, Ben Kingsley, Richard E Grant, Imelda Staunton and Nigel Hawthorne. The film ‘Son of God’ was released by 20th Century Fox in 3000 cinemas across America. Carl cast over 80 largely British actors in ‘The Bible Series’, initially for US TV, it has become the most successful mini-series of all time. Last year Carl cast a series for Germany and US – Pan Tau and is currently casting several films.

Kim Thursfield is first a mother of two children. She trained at The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts at The Barbican in London from the age of 12. After graduating at 18, she went into the big wide world of performing where she performed in Pantomimes, UK Tours, five star Hotels and some film and television programmes.

Once she married she had a full time job working in PR and Marketing for a Theatre where she learnt a lot about marketing a show, contacts, Producing and Directing including Producing and Directing her own show there for charity.

When Kim had her first daughter, she decided she didn’t want to work full time and wanted to be freelance in order to work flexibly with family life.

She bought her own franchise Theatre School in Sevenoaks which she built from 0 – 85 students in three years. She then bought her second franchise school which was of equal success in only a year.

She ran her two schools alongside being a vocal coach for many top theatre schools in the area.

In 2018 one of her students landed a role in a Hollywood film. This then led her down the road of also building an agency.

Kim successfully sold both franchise schools and is now completely freelance working as a vocal coach and running her agency KTTA which has now seen many children and adults land roles in West End Musicals and TV/Film projects.

Kim is also the author of ‘The Future Performer’ which is written from an Agents perspective along with her experience at a full time stage school.

Kim is constantly passing on her industry knowledge to others and loves to see the success and happiness it can bring.

A former actress herself, Sarah has many years experience as an agent and teacher in the performing arts. Having taught Musical Theatre at a Preparatory School for a period of 9 years as well as LAMDA and singing on a freelance basis for over a decade while also working as an agent in the cruise entertainment industry.

Sarah is also Mum to an actor who, at the age of 9, began working professionally in the West End before moving into film and television. They are now working full time as an adult actor with a flourishing career. This gives Sarah valuable first-hand experience of the industry from a parent’s perspective.

Sarah sits on the board of The Agents of Young Performers Association (AYPA) as Co-Chairperson. The AYPA is committed to promoting and encouraging support, communication and best practice amongst agents of children and young performers. As part of her work at the AYPA, Sarah has contributed to industry forums and panels as well as several best practice documents for this sector of the industry.
